Spring is almost here! We have many events coming up, and would like to remind our families of some upcoming dates. Please make a note of these days during the month of February:

Tuesday, February 14th – Valentine’s Day Pizza Party (pizza, fruit, and cookies will be served $3/child)
Friday, February 17th & Monday, February 20th – School closed in observance of President’s Day
Thursday, February 23rd – Elementary Information Night @ 6 p.m. (Daycare will be offered at $5/child)

Also, our annual carnival is coming up on June 16th!! Details to follow as the date approaches!

Happy New Year and welcome back to our MOLR families! We hope you had a relaxing, enjoyable winter break. We are happy to see all of you back and are looking forward to many exciting activities during the month of January. The PTU will be hosting a fundraiser at Farrell’s on January 31st from 4:30-9:30 p.m. We also will have lollipops for sale in the front office during the month of January. Each lollipop is five dollars, and it comes with a $5 Farrell’s gift certificate. Please help support MOLR by purchasing a lollipop and use your $5 coupon at the Farrell’s fundraiser! The school will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. PTU Spirit Day is January 27th, and the theme for January is “book characters”. Have your child dress up as a character from their favorite story, and bring the book in to share with his/her class. Pizza will be offered for $2 per child, as well. We will look forward to seeing all the creative attire! Happy 2012!

Season’s Greetings to all our MOLR families! We had a great time during November with our Thanksgiving Feast, Stone Soup Week, and our See’s Candies fundraiser. This month, we have many exciting activities.

Our annual holiday show will be held on Wednesday, December 14th for the elementary classes (Rooms 5&6 at 6 p.m.) (Room 7 at 6:30 p.m.) and the prechool show will be Thursday, December 15th at 10 a.m. Parents are encouraged to attend, and we ask that you arrive promptly.

Our International Potluck will be held on December 15th at 11:30 a.m. Please sign up in your child’s classroom to bring a dish (drinks, napkins, and utensils will be provided).

The Spark of Love Toy Drive will be held Friday, December 16th, and firefighters will be here at 10 a.m. to collect any donations made to the bins in the front office. The PTU is sponsoring a Polar Express Pajama Day on Friday, December 16th, and will be providing pizza, drinks, and fruit for lunch. Children are welcome to wear pajamas, but please make sure your child is wearing shoes, not slippers.

Our regular programs will be closed from December 19th-December 30th, and we will offer daycare to those who have already signed up. Classes will resume on Monday, January 2nd, 2012. Happy Holidays and thank you for your continued support!

Our Halloween parade & potluck was so much fun, and we have a lot of great pictures to prove it! We have posted a new gallery that captures some of the creative costumes, as well as a few photos from our elementary typing class. We will be posting more pictures as we move into the holiday season and have special school events to share. Happy Fall!!

Here are some upcoming events this month. Friday the 4th school will be closed for parent/teacher conferences. Friday the 11th school will be closed for Veterans Day. Thursday the 17th we will be having our Thanksgiving Feast. Monday-Wednesday the 21st-23rd we will be reading Stone Soup and preparing our own stone soup wiith the children. Thursday and Friday the 24th and 25th we will be closed for Thanksgiving break. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

We have limited spaces left in our Toddler and Preschool classes. Please contact us for a tour of our school. Any current family that refers a friend who enrolls their child will receive a $100 tuition credit.
